He is the only biathlete in history to have won the overall World Cup standings six times in a row, in 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017.
He holds the record for winning a season (14 in 2017), winning crystal globes (26) and scoring points on a winter (1322 in 2017). He is considered one of the best cross-country skiers on the circuit, even lining up for a cross-country World Cup event in the 2012-13 season.
