Hugo Duminil-Copin is a professor at the Faculty of Science of the University of Geneva and a permanent professor at the Institute for Advanced Scientific Studies (Bures-sur-Yvette).


Hugo Duminil-Copin received the Fields Medal in 2022 for his work on models of interacting particles, primarily his research on random phenomena in 3 and 4 dimensions, especially on the Ising model in the context of developing a quantum field theory applicable to particles.


He addresses various themes, such as ‘Can we predict everything?’, ‘Does chance really exist?’, or ‘The role of error in learning science’.
