As a politician, she served as a local elected official for 10 years and then as a Minister (of Women’s Rights and then of National Education) for 5 years.

 

Association Leader: At the head of the NGO ONE, she championed the demand for international solidarity and the rewriting of the rules of the global financial system to fight extreme poverty in the poorest countries. She currently presides over France Terre d’Asile, one of the leading organizations for welcoming, supporting, and housing asylum seekers in France.

Teacher: She notably created the “Gender Equality and Public Policies” program at Sciences Po Paris.
