Pascal Chabot

Philosopher

Pascal Chabot is a philosopher. Author of a dozen books and several plays, he has spent the past twenty years building a body of philosophical work that sheds light on the major issues of our time.

He teaches at IHECS (Brussels), and studied at the Sorbonne, the Facultés Saint-Louis, and the Université Libre de Bruxelles. He spent seven years as a researcher with the F.N.R.S. (National Fund for Scientific Research). He is the author of Global Burnout (PUF, 2013), The Seven Stages of Philosophy (PUF, 2011), After Progress (PUF, 2008), and The Philosophy of Simondon (Vrin, 2003). With filmmaker François Lagarde, he co-directed the film Simondon of the Desert (Hors-Œil, 2012).

 

In recent months, he has given talks for L’Oréal Luxe – Paris, Saint-Louis Hospital in Paris (Anesthesia and Intensive Care Department), and at the “Leading Today” seminar at the École Normale Supérieure.
